A talented medical artist, Sarah evolved her childhood love of drawing into a B.F.A. in Animation from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her work is enhanced by her passion for understanding the duality of medicine, and she loves how the ever-changing field of medical illustration brings exciting new challenges.
Prior to joining Impact, Sarah served as the medical animator and illustrator for OPENPediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital, developing engaging visuals of medical procedures, anatomy, and physiology. In addition to conducting subject-matter research to better understand the educational context of what she was creating, Sarah worked closely with the post-production team to effectively integrate the illustrations and animations into the related content.
As an active member of the Association of Medical Illustrators, Sarah continually refines her professional skills and networks with other capable peers.
Sarah’s advanced knowledge of the human body proves invaluable outside of work, as well. An avid powerlifter, Sarah takes a consistent, disciplined approach to maintaining precise technical form. This strategy not only strengthens her physically and mentally, it also protects against injury when pulling incredibly heavy weights.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys traveling and eating pork buns.
