Arlene considers herself to be somewhere between a California girl and a New Yorker at heart. She has spent the past decade living between San Francisco, New York City, and Scotland, where she completed her M.S. in Medical Art.
With a love of art and science from a very young age, Arlene studied art and psychology at NYU before turning her attention towards anatomy. She discovered a passion for the details of the human body, medicine, and public health, prompting her to pursue her masters in medical illustration at the University of Dundee.
Prior to joining Impact, Arlene worked as a freelance medical artist and multidisciplinary designer. She has continued her passion for visual communication, investigating the use of illustrations as a method for understanding complex ideas.
In her free time you can find Arlene traveling the world, snorkeling, or just enjoying a really good cup of coffee.
