Allianz v. Paramount

October 31, 2014

NEW YORK, NY – After two weeks of trial, a New York federal judge tossed a suit brought against Paramount Pictures Corp. by a group of investors who said that the studio tricked them into bankrolling a largely unsuccessful slate of movies in 2004 that included the surprise hit “Mean Girls,” saying that the evidence didn’t support the claims.

Partners Richard Kendall and Philip Kelly (Kendall, Brill) and Alan Arffa and Andrew Erlich (Paul Weiss) represented Paramount Pictures. Jesse W. Stevenson, Clinton Lam, and Brittany Peters led the Impact Trial team, and worked closely with the legal teams to provide invaluable trial technology and litigation graphics consulting and support throughout the trial.
