MARSHALL, TX – After a 5-day trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, a jury panel decided in favor of Whirlpool Corporation, finding that water filters manufactured by TST Water, LLC infringed Whirlpool Corp.’s ’894 Patent. The jury also affirmed the validity of this patent and awarded damages of $6.7 million based on its finding of willful infringement.
Whirlpool was represented by teams from Ward, Smith & Hill, PLLC and Morrison & Foerster LLP. Impact Trial’s team members were Juliana Casas, Anthony DiLonardo, and Brian Lee, led by Thomas S.Y. Lee.
