Selwyn Days Acquitted of Murder in Fifth Trial Following False Confession
After two days of deliberations, a jury in White Plains, New York, found Selwyn Days not guilty on two charges of second-degree murder. Impact is proud to support a team led by Paul, Weiss, Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP and lawyers from The Exoneration Initiative.
The case involved a false confession elicited by the East Chester Police Department. Not only was Mr. Days’s DNA not found, but the DNA of others was found at the scene of the crime and on the murder weapon.
Impact is proud to support its clients on a pro-bono basis in instances where we believe the interest of justice is served. Impact Trial’s very own Brian Lee, Jadyn Pak, Jesse Stevenson, Mia Pham and Sarah Kim played a significant role in supporting this matter.
