Heart Valve Prototype Concept

INSIGHT

Interpreting a patent drawing to understand it as a physical object can be difficult. Despite not having the physical valve, it was important to show how the client’s patent technology would function in a life-saving, cardiac heart valve procedure.

IMPACT

By first setting the stage with relevant patent figure drawings, 3D renderings of the medical device and heart valve transplants were then overlaid to the original 2D visuals. The animation of the valve opening and closing further enhanced and supported the presenter’s description of the function of the valves and the medical device operating within the human body’s circulatory system.
