Joel loves competition; a passion that was developed from years of battling with his identical twin brother and which comes in handy while in the trenches of every war-room. Joel began his career at Fish & Neave as a graphic designer working in the litigation support department. He also spent significant time working as a graphic designer at TrialGraphix; after 15 years in the industry, he’s seen it all.
At Impact, Joel has been the lead designer for the prevailing party on a number of projects involving the trade dress and functionality of the world’s leading smartphones in both district court and the ITC. He was also the lead designer in multiple jury trial victories on behalf Edwards LifeSciences that led to an unprecedented global settlement relating to their transcatheter heart valves.
In addition to being the lead consultant on several dozen matters, he is often busy mentoring and overseeing the graphics department. His wealth of industry knowledge and experience proves invaluable as he’s able to tackle any problem.
When he isn’t designing information for our trial teams and mentoring our designers, Joel is often playing Frozen with his 4-year old daughter or hiking with Osi, his buddy/dog.
