27 Mar Netflix Beats Infringement Claims In Video Patent Trial
LOS ANGELES, CA – After a week-and-a-half long trial in Los Angeles, a California federal jury has cleared Netflix of allegations that it infringed on DivX’s patents regarding video compression technology. The jury found that Netflix did not infringe on any of the four patents asserted by DivX, rejecting claims that could have cost over $400 million in damages.
