Kara remembers the day when Impact’s co-founder, Jesse Stevenson, took her to a dumpling house in Chinatown to tell her he was starting a trial consulting company. As a lawyer and graphic designer with over two decades’ experience in the litigation consulting industry, Kara welcomed the opportunity to help her friend with his new endeavor.
Kara and her husband Michael Grossklaus made up Impact’s original graphics team and together they have worked on some of the biggest and most important cases in the country. Kara served as the lead graphics consultant for the $12 billion Bondi v. Citigroup matter. She also headed up the graphics efforts in NJDEP v. Exxon Mobil Corp., a nine-month, $9 billion precedent-setting natural resources damages case. In both of these cases, Kara worked with the same law firm and lead partners. Her intelligence, talent, and dedication to every case make her a sought-after resource by some of the highest-profile attorneys in New York City and across the country.
Attorneys want to work with Kara over and over again, leading to many longstanding client relationships (and not a lot of sleep). When she’s not working or catching up on her sleep, you can find Kara practicing yoga, making pottery, and hanging out with her three cats.
